There is only a 3-day option because projects and discussions may be carried on for more than one day. Since the 4 year olds are getting ready to enter the public school system, they are offered more pre-academic learning experiences geared to their interests, such as hatching butterflies and chicks. A calendar also is introduced along with name recognition, days of the week, weather, and numbers and letters to promote phonemic awareness.
